I am on Vacation this week.. I am going to be doing NOTHIN! Work has been fair but we have been asked to cut hours and I was thinking Well I am not working 6 days this week and only working 38 hours so I went on Vacation for some of the week!
I am one vacation for Monday thur Thursday and back to work Friday and Saturday.
So I think the time will do me good! So I will be in the yard and working on my little house and cleaning up!
I am going to relax!

Now its look for other little things. Hey for .80 Cents sometimes its worth things. So I got suckered in to buying this Recipe the Best Potato Salad Ever...
So I bid on it and got it for 80 Cents yes I know I know I know Hey I also got a FREE Recipe with it. Now here is where I become the FOOL that I am! I just got the recipe over email it from a lady in UTAH.. ( I will be nice here) But come on Its from a MORMON cookbook one of those things that every mormon brings to every church function. ** BEST EVER POTATO SALAD RECIPE **
8- 10 Medium Size Russet Potatoes
8 -10 Medium Size Red Potatoes (this is the secret, two kinds of potatoes)
Clean potatoes and place the Russet Potatoes in a large pot of water to boil with a large heaping table spoon of salt. They take about 10 minutes longer to cook than the red ones. After 10 minutes, add the Red Potatoes and boil for about 30-40 minutes longer. Test a potato with a fork. Be sure not to over cook the potatoes or under cook them either. The fork should slide in fairly easy, you don’t want the potatoes to fall apart or that is a big sign of cooking them too long..
Drain the Potatoes and cool them in the fridge. After they are cooled, go ahead and peel them. You can leave some peel of the red ones left on. Chop up the potatoes in the size of about 1 inch squares. Set aside…
Boil a dozen Medium or Large Size Eggs for about 15-18 minutes. Drain and cool in cold water. After they are completely cooled, Peel and Chop them up into small bite size’s. I like to leave one whole egg left over and then slice it up to place on top of salad..
In a large bowl, Mix up the following:
¾ C. Of Best Foods Mayonnaise and ¾ C. of Miracle Whip (this is the secret to being the best.) Feel free to add more of equal parts if you feel this is not quiet enough.. It truly depends on the amount of potatoes you end up with..
Mix in
1 Tablespoon of Mustard
1 heaping tablespoon of Salad Supreme (located in the spices)
1 tsp. Of Garlic Salt
1 tsp. Of Onion Salt
And Season it with Salt and Pepper to your liking. You’ll find you need a lot of Salt to make a good flavor..
Mince up some Crisp Celery. The finer, the better. (Another secret) About 1 c. full of mince celery.
Dice up Green Onions. About ¾ c. full Use the white and green parts.
I will also mince up a red onion. Only about ¼ C. full but it’s your choice to add that or not..
I sometimes add a small can of drained, sliced Black Olives. You do not have to, but try it once to see if you like it. You’ll soon discover with this salad what to add or to leave out. It depends on what you like or not..
Decorate with the left over egg and sprinkle a little bit of paprika for color.
This Salad tastes even better the next day… So I usually prepare the day before.

Raspberry Slush
( A crowd pleaser)
3 oz. Raspberry Jello, Make Jello as follows;
Mix 3 cups of hot water with 1 C. sugar ( dissolve sugar). Than add to Jello.
ADD:
1 qt. Pineapple Juice
½ tsp. Almost extract ( I have substituted vanilla before)
½ c. reconstituted lemon juice
Freeze mix and then one hour before serving, take out of freezer. Add 1 liter Sprite or 7-up

the Life of a Yard Mower
If you cant tell I just got done mowing yards. Ok I dont mind mowing my own yard, because I know where all the stuff in my yard is. Mr Muhammad has 3 other house near mine and well NO ONE at those house have taken the time to MOW the grass. I have already mown my now for the 20th time and well you can just think what i was face with. So now I have to put a clase in all the rental agreements that they have to mow there own lawn.
I started at 6:30 and I just got done. Now mind you I dont mind doing it I will get paid for it but I just dont understand how someone can live in a messy yard. I take such pride in my yard. tell you the turth my yard looks awesome this year and it just gets better as the days go by.
Well for now I will just keep doing it once a week so I have enought money to buy a NEW mower... I am going for the electic ones. I know $400 but I am going for it. I cant wait!

Life according to Scott
You know this might have been a bad thing for me to start. Sometimes I write things and I really should not have put that in print.
Its Sunday Evening and I worked most of the day. Came home and did what I do best! NAP! Yes I do so much better in life if I just get a little cat nap in the afternoons. I know its strange but I just do so much better.
So if I said I am a little depressed, it would not have to do with the weather because it has been just beatiful today and I am so happy it has been. WOW what a wonderful day it is. Once we got the cold front out of our way It really has turned into a wonderful day.
Yesterday I spent most of the day with Auntie Wes and the family for Billy's Eagel Scout Court. It was great that he earned it. I know Wes was so happy about that.
But for some odd reason, it being Father's day today.... I feel left out! I know as silly as it is I feel left out. As I was walking the streets again today I realized If I dont do something soon, I am not going to have the chance to be a "DADDY". Is it silly for me to want this. Dont get me wrong I love the Fact that I am single.. I love it. but I am missing some special blessings and they are missing me.
I guess thats all I am going to say now.

Basket Gardens
Ok I have been busy tonight making basket gardens for the Relief Society homemaking meeting. 3 weeks ago I was asked by Auntie Moo if I would teach a class tonight on how to make basket gardens or container gardens. So I have planted seeds hoping the would be up by now and No. But I did have something to show since I had my green house do some up for me a head of time. It has been fun and I told of so many storys of Mom and I planting gardens and Linda and I planting all kinds of flowers everywhere. It was AWESOME. I love it.

Who Ordered this weather!
The weather in Seattle this past week has been COLD and WET It seems like it is more November or December. ITS COLD do you hear me COLD 49 degrees. They are calling for snow at the 2500 foot leave. ITS COLD they have the snow plow out in the passes ready for this SNOW ITS JUNE 10th people do you hear me its JUNE!
and then back east its 100 plus degrees send some SUN to me. my garden is suffering!

Neices and Nephews
I just want to say I have been really blessed in my life with many, many, many Neices and Nephews.
Chad now 30 will soon be married to his lady Ang.
Sara now 28 married and has 2 of my favorite people on this Earth, Kira 3 and Nolan 2 months.
Which I want to say I love Sara for being such a strong person and what a wonderful mommy she is. Nolan is doing great, by the way, he is eatting and pooping and doing GREAT!
Jamie.... she is now 20 and well I have no clue.. NONE this is what happens when you think your someone your not and your parents dont believe in the family unit. You know the comment was made one time by her that "A good Uncle would" The sad part is she has no clue what a good Uncle is.
Nathaniel.. He is my 2 cousin but Brenda never had that brother or sister and we have always been really good friends and Nathaniel only knows me as Uncle Scott. I am going to keep that I earned that one.
I earned the fact that I am also the Uncle Scott as the Maile family says " Uncle Scott in The Santa CLAUSE"
OK I do not know may of my nieces and nephews of the Davis family. I wish I did know each of them more. I think sometime being single and not having a life and not taking the time to go see family since I am such a home body. Hurts myself because I dont get to now these neices and nephews better.
Well I know I will loose 2 of them one of these days with the Crosby family. I have to face the reality soon that some day they will leave.
You know I just want everyone to know That I love all those special people that come into my life and the fact that I can be an UNCLE. Thank you to all my sisters that have had the chance to be married and for raising all these blessed little people!

Life as a single person!
Ok many of you will never know how I live or why I live my life as I do. I am a single person. I am 29 and I love the fact that I am single and very happy with who I am and where I am at in my life.
I just got back from going to a Family Home Evening with "SINGLE" adults. The Home we went to is always warm and inviting. The lesson was great and the message came over the way it was ment to and the spirit was felt. NOW here is the issue I have. as I sit in this home I have to ask why are there so many SINGLE adults.
Ok I am not a looker by any means. I do dress with style and some times my hair has some FLARE. and I dont think i am the cream of the crop. But I have to ask. Do they care? Ok maybe I have to high of standards and have to lower them to where I am. But being 29 I look at some of these people at 40-45-46-47-48-49-50 plus and wonder if they understand its ok that you dont have to be married to have fun. But you have to do a little more than just wish.
OK I know what you are going to say "Scott what did you just say" are you reading what you are typing.
I sometimes WISH I was married. I would love to have those 10 kids and the house and be in the temple with all my family around me as I take on that next step. But I dont see it happening.

I know I get that all the time. and I am not going to bore you with how many times I am hit on. FUNNY the many times I do get hit on is by a guy and not that woman I wanted all my life.

I love my life I love the fact that I am single and have no one but "Mother" to answer to sometimes. I love the fact that if I choose to leave for a day I can and not worry about anything or I can just go for a drive or out to dinner with well if I had any friends. or just go. Yeah come on who am I kidding I know you think i am a dork by now.
I have done so many bridal bokays of so many beatiful brides and sometimes I ask why not me?
Yeah I know what some say... well you need to start going out meeting new people. You need to go to events with "SINGLE" you need to start going to church. OK thats a eye opener!

What a week and a half
Well..... It has been one of those weeks that happens... "Life is what happens when you are planning something else". I guess it has been a week. Updates. Nolan is doing GREAT! sleeping the nights and eatting eatting eatting. Now Cassie and Steve Daines have a 2 month old that has the same thing Nolan had. WOW what are the chances of that. so we are keeping him in our prayers this week.
Last Friday night I helped Auntie Wes with a Fund Raising Dinner, for the young men/women and The Scouts.. and we raised $6100. WOW that is awesome.
As soon as it was over I headed home for a quick Nap and off to Spokane for Lizzy's wedding, yes I did the flowers and she picked a wonderful bokay.. Yeah it helps that I do flowers and did 3 of them for here.
It was so awesome to see so many brothers and sisters and Well yes I cried the whole time.
Sunday was my day off and I have to admit I enjoyed the time off. YES can you say I went to church for all 3 hours and was fed well.
Off to work on Monday and Wednesday. I wanted to have beaitful weather but NO Tuesday it rained Yeah my luck.
My garden is going to town and it looks AWESOME.
Wednesday night I went to Izzy's Recital. Yeah me attending a recital. Oh stop laughing at me, I wanted to show my support. Now here is the best part, I missed it! I got there when they were ending. Oh I know I am bad. But I got a private one on one with Izzy and she played her songs to me.
It is going to be a long 2 weeks for me for Ben and Becca and the kids are gone on Vacation and I wont have anyone to feed.
Ok well this is my life.
