wow 120 posts... this one is for Becca

So Becca... you can do this one....

Scott's Boston Baked Beans

1 Bag of Navy Beans SOFTEN... so this is a 3/4 days in advance soaking of the beans

Bring beans to a boil after you soften them.

Now in a pan.. fry up 2 lbs of Bacon
2 Large Onions Chopped up and fried in the Bacon

2 bottles of Katcup

1 tablespoon of Liquid Smoke

2 Cups Brown Sugar

Once the Bacon and Onions are sauted together, add to bottles of Katcup and wash out with a little water into the mix
add the brown sugar and liquid smoke

Place in a baking dish and place in oven the night before on very LOW I turn it on till the light comes on and I leave it set in the oven over night and a few more hours.. Before I need to serve them I bake them for about an hour at about 250 and then I turn them down for an hour to warm until I need to serve them...

I think that 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar could be used instead of 2 depends on how sweet you want them.

so really they take you a few days to do so plan ahead of time.

So Becca you need to make them for our FHE Bar B Que for our home teaching night on the 22nd.
