Chicken Pot-Pie

Ok for some of you I have cooked this before and others today was the first time you had it. Pot-Pie Pennsylvania Dutch Style.

Potatoes and Chicken with the broth.
then you make home made style Noodle
Flour, a little sugar, eggs, butter, water almost a pie crust here.
served over a bed of onions, with parsley flakes and vinegar.

Well I was hungry for that tonight so this is what I made... TURNED out to be a big big hit. WOW thank you to those of you who ate!

So I want to say a few thing about MY family... I am so glad that I was born into a family that is just a little off. Off the beaten path that some people never take but alot do take.

On Tuesday I had a cousin that died. Katie Peese. Katherine Peese. I always called her KATIE and I think I was the only one she would leave me call her Katie. She just droped dead . I will post more later on this but for now... this is what is so sad...

Katie was Aunt Carries daughter from a prior marriage to my mother's brother Uncle Henry.

so a step cousin. and I know that sometime mixed marriages dont work. and family members get all bent out of shape. so here you have this family and neighbors all in the same little valley.

And they could not get along or something someone fighting with someone and well it just SUCKS.

AS Brenda and I were talking and she said "your the only family I have" Why is it that this family of NEESE'S could not get along. why is it that the word FAMILY did not mean something to them. Yeah Katie was much older than I was but I just thought she was one of the neatest cousins I had. and Well with the Neese family I have the cousins.

Its a shame I do not know who they all are? and its a shame that people just cant get along. REALLY when you look at the big picture.... WE ARE ALL FAMILY and the next life we better be prepared because we are all going to be together again.

so with this all being said... THANK YOU DAVIS family..... for showing me what a FAMILY is!

Big Bertha

SO yes after today she has a big name. I had her washed and detailed today and her white walls are awesome.

She is all clean and shining and ready for almost anything...

So this morning when I was heading to work. I noticed in front of me that the cars were coming to a stop fast. so I quickly slowed down well the person in back of me DID not slow down as fast as I did and he hit me. Lucky for me NO damnage done. NONE!!! Yes I was freaked out. As I was trying to get to a pull off spot.

I texted mother and of course she could not call me at 6am this morning to say... "I had a dream last night you were in an accident with your car"... Thanks mom.. you would call me any other time in the morning to wake my butt out of bed but this morning NO... so when I pulled over and got off the 520 and noticed everything was fine... I said Oh Bertha your such a good car.. and thats how she got the name BIG BERTHA!

I am having so much fun. This has been a true blessing in my life THank you Liz and Albert.

Yesterday after getting it in my name and the immisson test, as I was at a stop light some body was looking at me like what the heck and I reved the engine it was so funny!

Lemons into Lemonade

So as I am sitting here tonight, thinking about all the "STUFF" that happens to each and everyone of us everyday... isn't if funny how out of all those lemons that are toss or chucked or hurried at us that we can take those lemons and make them into lemonade. REALLY!

As I was reading Abby's last post. that is the first thing I was thinking how she made lemonade out of her lemons. WOW Abby. AWESOME.

and as I was talking with MOM and Liz and Albert tonight, How each of us can help make other people's lemonade.

Now I know I have to be a little different... But I quess I should be just happy with the lemonade that is given to me instead of trying to make it something other than lemonade.

I truthfully sooner have strawberry, raspberry or even mango lemonade before I just have lemonade.

where am I going with this... Here it is.... each of us sometimes have to add something into that lemonade to make it what it needs to be. anyone can have just a bowlfull of lemons... but you cant have that lemonade with out someone squeezing the heck out of the lemons to get the juice. I personnally have a juicer.. you need someone to provide the sugar to sweeten the lemon juice and you cant just have sugar lemon juice you need a little bit of water to make it just right... and you also have to have the ice.... and in JEN's Case you need a little hard stuff... but when it all comes right down to it....

We are here to help and lift each other and to provide strenght to each other and to BE A FRIEND or a family member.

What a wonderful thing it is for each of us to have each other.

I truely could not have been able to make the lemonade this last month with out the help of each of you. Ben listening to me as I cried my eyes out and did not feel like I was going to be able to make my own lemonade. Or Mom just saying "What Lesson have you learned about making lemonade" or to Auntie Wes. who know matter what she was doing she would listen to me Grip about how hard it was to squeeze those lemons... but after we all look back at this isnt this just about the best thing we had ever done in our lives was to make Lemonade out of our Lemons....

Here is to that wonderful glass of Mango Lemonade!!!!

A Big Thank You

1st off I want again to thank all you who have offered support and helped me get through this last month.

2nd Small blessing. after the whole new car not new car. I Have really been laughting . WHAT else is there to do but laugh. REALLY. So I started telling the story and laughing and called mother. Here is the BLESSING... so to Albert and Liz. Thank you. I was able to purchase there car from them. and will be able to drive it starting Monday. After I get it a hold of the insurance company...

3rd. FAITH is strong thanks to all of you! THank you!

Stress again...

So just an update I am not getting the car listed below... Something happened and well... I am not getting the CAR! It gets returned on TUESDAY!
