My Mini Vacation

So I was going to take off work for a week and go back East but the price of plane tickets were out of the question so I just took off and said I was going to stay around the Seattle Area and do things I have not done for a while.
So Thursday Morning I got up and off to Mt Vernon to the tulip fields I went!

the yellow is mostly daffodils but it was still wonderful to see the colors.
My highlight was the fact that I went to Washington Bulb company and got to tour the factor and I was so excited to see it. IT was AWESOME!

I headed down I-5 to I-2 to have a little fun I was thinking lets just do it so I went out to the first area I served my mission in Monroe. It was so much fun just to drive up to where the church building is and just to feel the peace I had there.
I then went to FLOWER WORLD.. ok I spent a little money on some new plants but I had a sweet time.  I came home just in time to go to the denist to get a crown and well came home and slept the rest of the day. NICE I know

Friday was my sleep in and Watch TV day and then I had the hair appointment and well that was about it. Friday night I started to watch "Who do you think you are" and that got me so excited I just joined Ancestry.com and found some awesome family tree leaves... SUPER SUPER Excited.
so last night I did not go to bed until midnight.

I go up this morning and headed back to flower world because Yvette wanted lily of the valley so I went to just pick her plants up and that was it. I did good.
I was hoping to meet up with Myrna and Bob to do brunch but that did not work out so I ended up going for a walk down a railroad tracks.

the last 3 pictures was of this plant trying to grow up and it was stuck under a branch, i was thinking how funny it is sometimes in life we get stuck under an branch and we try to keep growning but we sometime just cant seem to move that branch we are stuck under but we sometime grown around it.

I sent the 3rd Railroad track picture to Abby to remind her of the fun time we had as we took the kids on a walk in central pa one time down the railroad tracks.

It was just a peaceful walk for me.. about an hour and I was just thinking how awesome it was one day that a train would run on that track and I could almost hear the train coming down the tracks.. then I had that Fried Green Tomato movie in my mind and I will just tell you it was a peaceful walk... I do believe the tracks are no longer in use.

but then I said ok I am heading up the over highway 2.
I love the fact that the train still runs up the tracks... I followed the tracks for a while..

and yes there was still snow.. It was fun to be driving with the sunroof open and just leaving the wind blow my hair until it got a little cold.. it was cold in them there hills.

I just got in the car and drove. I enjoyed my mini vacation..

Easter

Today was Easter Sunday and I worked it... Retail pays the bills but when it comes to a holiday your STUCK!!! yup you work every holiday and ever week before that holiday.. YOU know it really is sad that we rely on these holidays to bring in sales.

I quess what I really think is neat... just hear me out is that hte fact that gifts are given on this special day of the death and re-birth of our Savior.

I love this holiday for the fact its the re-birth of the earth, the spring flowers, the trees, the flowers, the birds I loved it. I love the fact that spring is so beatiful...

I think I should have grown up in a different era, I would love the time when Easter Sunday everyone would put on there best and the easter bonnets and easter parades.. would it not be fun to go back in time when life was a little more simpler..

I would love to... I would love the fact you spent the day with the family, had easter egg hunts with the kids and well you sat and talked and enjoyed life. Would life not be just grand!!!!

I worked all day... and I missed the true Easter Sunday...

I am having NEXT week as my Easter and the prep work is so much fun. I have the perfect center piece made, the color sceme is coming together, the egg dying has happened and the food is getting prepared... YES I know I am a week early but the idea of this is just awesome.

This was the first year in a while that I have forgotten or have not had the time to make eggs for the family. I missed it. I missed the time I would spend with Auntie Wes making a 100 eggs.

I will tell you thinking about Easter and all the prep work is like thinking its Christmas all over.. I feel like a kid in the candy store...

SO I quess what I was trying to say is Happy Easter.... say in tuned because this week is going to be awesome!

get out of the bitter barn

I need to get out of the bitter barn and be more postive and up beat.. I will tell you sometimes its not easy for me to get out of bed in the morning. and I would sooner just stay in bed and watch "I Love Lucy" on the hallmark channel.

So sometimes I just think why do I have all this crap to deal with. When I had my floral shop for the main part it as just me. Jackie worked 1 day a week and I was never there. We worked as a team and we never had a problem.. we did the job and we got it done.

I now work with a wonderful Lady Yvette and we WORK.. we work so well together in the floral shop and its nice that I am not in charge and I just do what I need to do and what she tells me to do and I love it.

With that being said.. I took the assistant manager job in the bakery department. NOW I am not yet all there with what I need to be doing however... with in the last month I have made changes.... I have cleaned the bakery up, I have put thing where they are to be and well I cleaned house... (I wish I could say that around my house.) and I have shown what needs to be done... I am a threat to the bakery manager.. who is not doing the job that she needs to be doing. and well this is where I want to say "GROW UP" your 52 year old and we are not in high school anymore. the assistant store manager asked me something the other day and I told her and she walked away. the bakery manager saw this and felt we were talking about her.  It would not be so bad if she would just have a little more Christ like love in her life and a little less bitterness..

I try my hardest to be postive everyday...its really hard...

SO i quess what my problem is I take on the negativeness that I work with and I try to tune it out. Somtimes I just want to tell some people to stop complaining and just do it. I know that there life might not be the best and I have to say I am lucky...

when I was over in Idaho visiting for a day, I shared a video with mother...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8DQvw-QxyY

The line I really want to share is 9:35 in but the 1st part sets up the scene.

I found in my life sometime the complaining gets old. NO one really wants to hear it and well... STOP it. I am trying to learn that.

I know sometimes I come off a real witch but really life is going by way to fast...

Lot of things have happened in my life.... and one thing I will have to say is I am HAPPY with who I am and where I am and WHAT I am becoming.

During Conference this last weekend.. one of my favorite quotes that I heard was read from a back of a car on a bummper sticker.. saying..

"Don't Judge me because I sin differently than you".

What words we should live by..

So back to me being in the bitter barn... WELL I am out of it because I have wonderful family that I surround myself with, I have people I love being around and like my friend sharron hall always says... Surround yourself with good people... because that is who I am.

I have to keep living, I cannot lay in bed and watch the hallmark channel all day. I need to live for may reasons.. again because of you!

OK here's the deal

The Deal is I live a boring life...

Ok let's see what I have done in the last few days months since I last wrote.
I love my new car, just love her.. by the way her name is Joanie!
I have been busy with work work work and  I am very excited that I have been working 45 hours each week. I have been working in the bakery and flower shop so its been good.

So I have to add a comment that was made to me tonight, the missionaries stopped by to say hello and we have a new missionarie and it was fun to see him look at pictures on my wall and talk for a minute. I believe the thing that I love the most is yes I can do alot and do alot but I just give them this look and they say "we know your freakin Scott Leitch" not sure where it came from but its funny.

so tonight before they left they said you know if we just had more Scott Leitch's in our ward just think what it would be like... I said it would not be true.. but it was funny because 2 weeks ago one of the sisters said you know we were talking about you the other night and we were just saying WOW Scott Leitch is just amazing at all he dose...

Thank you.

Sometime I really dont feel like I do enough but I am thrilled that I am who I am!

New Car,

So I have not updated my blog because I have been a little busy... YES I have to admit I have been a little busy with work and life.
So lets update whats going on. and once I get pictures I will post them.

Valentine's day was a hit again this year in the floral shop and we did a great day of sales one days says was $13,000 so yes we were a little excited.

I call mother at the end of January because Big Bertha, my caddy was quickly dying so I said I needed a new car and sure enough she knew someone with a car for sale.

So Off I flew to Idaho on Sunday Morning to get my new car.  I love the fact that mom and I can still have so many laughs.

SO here is a story I have to tell..

We are sitting in her office this morning, and I had to do some paper work and I held the paper out like I could not see it, and she starts looking for her glasses on he desk, I turn to her and ask her what she was looking for she said her glasses... I said the ones on your nose she said started to laugh it was so funny.

I am so glad that after all these years we still have these special moments one on one when we just laugh at our lives..

Linda Davis, thanks for always being there.. Love you mother!

Happy Birthday to MEEEEEEEE!

Sorry sometimes its all about ME!

I am just thinking as I sit here getting ready for bed.. That I am going to be 40 again! ok 41. I like the idea of being 40 again. It was an awesome year I loved it.

I have wonderful friends, I have wonderful family, I have a wonderful life.

40 was a wonderful year for me. I sure hope I have at least 40 more. 50 more or 60 more I would love to be as old as my grandfather when he died at the age of 92.

I look back on my life and wonder sometime WHAT have I done with these last 40 years. and I have to tell you it has been a fun ride with lots of ups and downs and fast turns. Its been awesome.

So I want to say Thank you to all those that will call and text and send an email. I love each and everyone of you. You have been the reason why I am Scott Leitch.

The Help

So in the last few days I have been watching movies. I have not been to a MOVIE is about 2 years. It seemed like I use to go every week because Susan would drag me to a movie and I would go.. Not that it wasnt nice to see the movie but I had issues with how much it cost and I always felt that I could just buy the dvd and I would watch it in the comfort of my own home. Sometimes I love just sitting in my own bed and watch a movie where I can cry to my heart is content.

Tonight I watched for the second time "The Help". I am telling you my heart just breaks and it makes my blood boil and I get so mad, and I cry and I laugh and well... It just shows you sometimes it not good to go to the movies with me because of who I am.

But back to my feeling and what I learned and did not learn. a couple phases came out to me and then to me I started to write them down and then I would have to re-wine the movie and watch it over to make sure I got it right and then I would have to re-read what I wrote.

so I am watching the movie.. and then it was so funny some of the best things I saw in the movie, was appearing on the menu. LOL

I heard one quote and here it is on the menu button.

“as for your momma, she did not pick her life, it picked her”

as I was listening to this line... I was thinking wow I really did not pick this life it picked me. I was pre-ordiend to be who I am. I was choosen by some of the best to be the person I am in this life. is this making any scnce to anyone. I dont think I would have ever picked the life of losing my mother, or losing my father, or doing the things I have done.
I am telling you right now... I would not have changed anything that I have learned, I would not have morned any differently and I would not want to be anywhere else then where I am right now!

“love and hate are two horns on the same goat and you need a goat”

In this line of the movie, its talking about being single and  marriage and well I just had to laugh. yes I was rolling on the floor laughing because you know something.. sometime it is so true.. Love and hate are the horns of the same goat.

“courage sometimes skips a generation… Thank you for bringing it back to our family”

SO with this statement.. I just have to say I sure hope my generations understand me. I stand tall in what I believe in, I think the courage skipped a few gerenations. I dont know how anyone would ever understand me if it wasnt for the generations that helped pave my way. I did not know many of them but I will tell you I so enjoy learning more about them. They have been giving me small hints of what I need to do. I love the fact that Family in not just until death but for a life of eternty.

so here is to those family members that have gone before me..
